The tenant fit-out brought new life to a historic Mount Vernon building by providing a lively new lobby, reception area, offices and team rooms, conferencing break out spaces, kitchenettes, bathrooms and support spaces. The project faced the challenges of a tight time frame, a dark and low top floor, and working around an active 1st floor tenant, but the team developed creative solutions that lead to a successful project. To increase interconnectivity across the 3 levels, a large vertical opening with a gracious new stair was inserted, allowing people to see floor to floor and easily access adjacent floors. The design of space feels open and generous, despite a compact layout that exceeded the goal of a minimum of 100 work spaces by 40.
